Yoko Yamagishi is a 16-year member of the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association. Yoko has maintained a fully exempt status on the JLPGA for the past 12 years and has claimed two tour victories to her name. Yoko came to Joey in 1994 at his golf schools in the Palm Springs area through the Mizuno Golf Japan touring professional development program. After two years of hard work with Joey and competing in the Futures Tour and the Players West mini tours, she advance to the US LPGA Tour final qualifying stage. Yoko missed her US LPGA card that year by only 2-shots and returned to Japan to play full time on her native JLPGS tour. She continued to work with Joey through the years and is now playing a selected schedule (Tiger is not the only one who plays a selected schedule!).

Yoko is a very premium ball striker with a strong competitive will to win. Yoko has also won numerous awards on driving statistics through the years. Her lowest scoring average was 71.2 in 2003 when she won the Women’s Dunlop Masters Championship. Yoko was also instrumental in bringing other Japanese Women Tour players to Joey for golf instruction.
